東芝半導體出售案之前完成第一輪競標作業，日媒報導第二輪投標將於5月中進行，其中鴻海被認為在第一輪競標中初步勝出，但卻傳出日本政府對東芝技術外流國外有所疑慮。媒體報導郭董勢在必得，不僅要與蘋果、日本軟銀合作，現在還傳出要找來夏普團隊助陣，希望以「美日台」聯盟化解日官方疑慮。
彭博社日前報導，東芝半導體案第一輪競標中已選定4組人馬，包括鴻海、美半導體業者博通、韓國SK海力士與私募股權公司銀湖資本，報導表示鴻海出價最具優勢，高達3兆日圓，約合新台幣8340億元。
不過，卻有消息不斷傳出，不論是日本政府官方還是東芝內部高層，都以國家安全的觀點出發，表示將對參與的外資進行嚴格審查，就怕高階技術外流，影響國際競爭力，尤其對中國大陸更是有戒心。
因此，日媒點名蘋果公司將以美日聯手的方式，取得東芝過半數股權，並計畫出資數千億日圓，攜手鴻海取得東芝半導體10%股權，以消除日本政府的疑慮。
於此同時，日經新聞也報導，鴻海推動與日本企業參與競標，鎖定日本軟銀共同合作，只是日前傳出雙方合作不是為參與競標，而是鴻海希望軟銀能協助尋求日本銀行圈的支持。其實，不管是以何種方式聯手，最主要仍是郭董希望找來的「日系」能尋求日本官方認同。
另外，今（18）日日經新聞最新消息更指出，鴻海打算要把同為「日系」的夏普也拉進競標東芝半導體的團隊，目的就是希望組成「美日台」聯盟，化解日本官方對於技術外流的疑慮。

歷經47天受困於喜馬拉雅山區後生還的21歲台灣青年梁聖岳，如今人還在加德滿都的醫院中接受治療，不過在父親的陪伴與照顧下，復原狀況良好的他，目前已經由加護病房轉至普通病房。
據《蘋果日報》報導，已經入院5天的梁聖岳，身旁有醫護人員以及梁父的照料與陪伴，恢復狀況十分良好，目前已經從加護病房轉至普通病房。據院方公關透露，雖然這幾天有許多關心梁聖岳的人，來到醫院想要探視他，不過都遭到本人婉拒；梁聖岳目前大多保持靜養、休息的狀態，除了看書之外，其實很少開口說話。
報導也提到，雖然現在謝絕訪客，但在梁聖岳入院第2天時，有一名來自台灣的朱阿姨，因為在媒體上得知此事，便主動帶著水果、零嘴前往醫院探視。據了解，梁聖岳見到朱阿姨的當下有點驚訝，但仍笑著感謝她的熱情與關心。這位朱阿姨也感嘆表示，「聖岳掉在山洞裡，非常冷靜，淡定冷靜的心情就像在修行；但梁宸君因爲想念父母親，心中有所牽掛，所以才會先走了...」
